RUSSIAN COFFEE CAKE

1/2 lb butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 pint sour cream
1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Topping:
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar

Cream butter. Add sugar and eggs one at a time. Mix well.

Mix dry ingredients and add to batter alternately with sour cream. Add vanilla.

Pour half of batter into a greased pan (13 x 9 or 14 x 10) (do not use a glass pan). Sprinkle half of topping onto batter and then add rest of batter and add remaining topping.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes
