BLACK FOREST BROWNIES

1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
l cup butter or margarine
1 cup cocoa
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa till smooth. Blend in eggs, sugar, extract, cherries and nuts. Stir in dry ingredients. Pour into greased 13" x 9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until they test done.
Ice with your fav. chocolate icing and sprinkle with more nuts.
