GREAT PIZZA DOUGH 3 cups flour 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup hot water 1 pkg yeast 1/2 tsp sugar 2 TBSP cooking oil 1 TBSP honey 3/4 cup cool water In a large bowl mix flour and salt, set aside. In a smaller bowl mix hot water, yeast and sugar, set aside. In a third bowl mix oil, honey and cool water. Add yeast mixture to flour and stir. Add oil/honey to this mixture and combine well until a soft dough. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and set in a warm spot in kitchen, away from drafts. Let rise for at least 1 1/2 hours or until nearly doubled. Poke down and knead. Form into two medium pizzas or four calzones (see following recipe). Cook in hot 475* oven (preferably on a pizza stone or a cooking sheet). Maggie |
