Hi, I'm Andy.

I thought you might like to know a little about me, so I put together a brief auto-biography.

I work full time to support the habit...errr, hobby of story telling and reenacting. I am a dental equipment and service technician for a large dental supply company. That involves a great deal of travel time between dental offices, time that I fill with developing the stories I tell, making plans.

I have been telling stories for years, my experience being primarily at our local church telling childrens stories during the worship service. I used to be a very shy person, uncomfortable with being the center of attention, not wanting to be drawing any attention to myself. I still don't, but the forum of story telling is different.

I am happily married to the love of my life, Sandy, and we have five children. She is the one who tricked me into attending a reenactment. She insisted we go to meet a friend of hers. To appease her I went, but with reservations. At the first whiff of black powder smoke, I was hooked. We have all been involved in reenacting for five years.

After our first season, we were introduced to a new reenacting friend, Sharon Burnston. She runs the volunteer staffed Living History Project at the Daniel Webster Birthplace in Franklin NH. This became an opportunity for us to interact with visitors to the historic site. In the process of becoming familiar with the history of the site, we learned the story of Daniel Webster's father, Ebenezer Webster. His life story has become more and more interesting to me, and I base my story telling persona on him.

What intrigues me the most about Ebenezer Webster is the fact that he was an original member of Robert Roger's Rangers, organized to patrol the area in which we now live, because of the Indian attacks of his time.
When we began our reenacting hobby, we joined a James Rogers Company of Rangers. James was the older brother of Robert Rogers.

I joined the Central New Hampshire Story Tellers Guild as a means to refine my stories and my story telling skills. It has also opened up new venues for story telling.

My stories are based on researched historical facts about Ebenezer Webster, and original material, reflecting both the lifestyle and characters of the 18th century. They are intended to reveal the reality of the daily struggles of 18th century families. You will find humor, love, adventure and tragedy in my tales.

For additional inspiration, I draw on the modern world around me. By observing people in everyday life and the character interactions at the historical events we attend, I imagine how Ebenezer Webster, or his counterparts, would have perceived and reacted to the situations. Try it yourself! What images come to your mind when you look at the pictures to the right and below?

And when all other forms of inspiration fail!.......
