Leicester Square at New Year. Over the Christmas season they have a fair in the square and it's great. This is where all the main cinemas are located, with a kind of quadrangle gardens in the centre. I love it round there, always so busy. There are always musicians, street performers and artists to watch - great atmosphere.
Tower Bridge. Taken from the North Bank near the Tower of London and Traitors Gate. I remember it was very cold this day but beautifully sunny at the same time. Incidentally we ate in a McDonalds kind of built in the same brickwork beside the tower, very unusual and it felt great to get warm in there. Big Ben, part of the Houses of Parliament - very intricately and beautifully decorated if you zoom in by camera or video as I did. Just love to be there when it chimes!
Detail of St Pauls Cathedral. We walked down Mayfair on New Years Day (this was about 4 years back with Mum), it was morning and so very quiet - obviously most people were recovering from the night before. This
was the same day as visiting Tower Bridge, cold but beautiful and we felt
we had London to ourselves there.
