I started reading Rosamunde Pilchers books many years ago. I started with Shell Seekers and have worked my way through most of her novels. I also really enjoyed watching The Shell Seekers when it was made into a TV movie with Angela Landsbury quite a fe years ago. The books are so wonderful to read and I am anxiously awaiting a new one. Any idea when one will come out?

Love the Way Rosamunde builds each character into the overall story-so that when they pop up you can immediatley tell who they are. The Romance, the emotions the story line are all usually true to life.

What a treat to find this website...my good friend who lives in Scotland got me started reading these wonderful books years ago. Just now I don't seem to have any time to read books for pleasure...something I dearly miss. I always feel so good while rea ing one of these books...right at home. I am interested in the Mom's ring website...Haven't a clue on how to create my own website...never mind what to put in it...I feel like I spend my time running in circles. I am a stay at home mom...our oldest is 2 and the youngest is almost 3 1/2.(5 kids total, we are Christains, too.) Maybe I would be one of the older moms...past the pregnancy and potty training time. Anyways thank you for creating such a nice website...I will return. I love what you named you house! Sue

Seeing all the female guests in your book left me undecided to join in. But as I love Pilcher so much, I couldn`t say no to this offer. I became a fan of Pilcher`s since the opening page of `The Shell Seekers.` It`s one of my most beloved novels that are ure too be taken with me wherever I move. Her other novels are also heartwarming although the formula of each one is highly predictable. But her style of putting her thoughts and description into words is unique and unpararelled. I am currently reading her latest novel: Coming Home, and found it truly enjoyable. Nevertheless, none of her work is as well-written as The Shell Seekers.

I'd heard of RP for years before I ever took the plunge. I finally picked up "Shell Seekers" and was hooked. I love her books because RP is roughly the age of my mother and so much of what she writes tells me about that time period when my mom was young. Since my mom has died I have enjoyed RP's books that much more. Once I wrote her a fan letter telling her how much I loved "Coming Home" and a few months later I rec'd the most wonderful letter back from her. I treasure it! I also love her short stories. hey are wonderful to read before bed. Always a happy ending and pleasant dreams follow. Can't wait for her next one to come out!!

None of my friends subscribe to Showtime so I've had no success. Perhaps one of you has access to it? Meanwhile, I'm planning a trip to Great Britain and would love to visit "Pilcher-type" places, instead of the typical sites. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Aloha! Robin

One interesting thing I stumbled onto on your site is that R.P. wrote under a pen name. Wow! more books to check out! If you have read any of these, was her writing style the same in those as her late books? Thanks so much, Jessica Cook

I was so happy to find your site on my favorite Author! A dear friend sent me "The Shell Seekers" and I was hooked - have read all of them and now even have the book tapes on in the car!! I was happy to read she may have a new book coming out soon! I too am one of those 'lucky souls' that have been able to go to Scotland several times, only because my husband has business there once in awhile. It's a beautiful place and my teenage children love it also. When we were in Edinburgh two years ago we stayed at a lovely guest house there and when we were shown to our room the dressers were piled with Rosamunde Pilcher books! I had brought several of mine with me for the trip as we were to spend two weeks traveling on trains and here I found two I had not even heard of yet (old ones). It turns out the woman who ran the guest house had a son who boarded at school with the Grandson of R. Pilcher! She had met her several times and that night we spent two hours over a pot of tea discussing her books and hearing a lot of stories about the Pilcher family. It was fascinating! A real stroke of luck to just have picked that guest house and meet somebody who knew R. Pilcher personally! We are going back again in June and you know where we will be staying in Edinburgh!!! Thank you for a great site!
